Existing Partnerships and Collaborative Activities

Coastal Planning Initiative -- Ts'awalk ('one'): many collaborators and partners

Structure:
The Aquatic Mangement Board is comprised of 8 governmental members ( two representatives from each of the Federal, Provincial, Nuu-chah-nulth and local governments) and 8 non-governmental members broadly representative of commercial, recreational and aboriginal harvesting, processing, tourism, environmental, labour and aquaculture interests. The board will be supported by management committees addressing specific aquatic management issues.

Research and Collaboration Interests

Very broad, but focused on the Ts'awalk ('one'), a new Coastal Planning Initiative. Facilitating a Barkley Sound Research Network.
