Emma Louis is a M.Sc. student in the department of Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria. As part of the monitoring group in the Solid Carbon feasibility study, Emma is researching how to trace the injected CO2 using environmental tracers and geochemical changes as the CO2 progresses towards mineralization into carbonate minerals through reactions with the basalt.

Emma earned her B.Sc. in Earth Science from Frostburg State University and is excited to be a part of such a potentially durable solution to address climate change.
