Florencia Tiribelli
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Forest and Conservation Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, UBC
Florencia is a forest and fire ecologist with a background in ecological modelling. She is working on the Wildfire and Carbon project under the supervision of Dr Lori Daniels at the Tree Ring Lab, UBC. Her research focus is on understanding how fire and fuel management strategies impact on current and future wildfire greenhouse gas emissions.
Florencia's previous research focused on understanding postfire vegetation dynamics and flammability, and drivers of fire severity leading to vegetation transitions in Patagonia at INIBIOMA-CONICET in Argentina. She hold's a PhD in Biology from the Universidad Nacional del Comahue.
