Video: Planning for sea level rise on B.C.’s South Coast

Many communities and coastal ecosystems in British Columbia are facing rising seas.

Within a generation, sea level could rise more than a metre along B.C. coasts.

The old solutions to water management, like sea walls and dikes, may not hold up to the risks climate change is bringing. B.C. needs new ways to live with water.

The PICS-funded Living with Water project collaborates with affected communities and partners along B.C.’s South Coast to develop long-term solutions to sea level rise for the region.
