Jean Boucher

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Jean Léon Boucher is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia. He is an Environmental Sociologist who studies and recommends policy on the adoption and distribution of clean energy technologies. Broadly, his research interests encompass human-environmental sustainability, the socio-demographics of energy use, and the relationship between environmental attitudes and personal consumption behaviors. He has taught at Michigan State University, Franklin University, and conducted research at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Formerly a Mechanical Engineer, he gravitated to the social sciences and completed his doctoral studies in 2016 at George Mason University.
