Information About PICS

The Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) develops impactful, evidence-based climate change solutions through collaborative partnerships which connect solution seekers with experts from BC’s four leading research universities.

Established in 2008 through a major endowment from the Province of British Columbia, PICS is independently hosted and led by the University of Victoria in collaboration with the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and the University of Northern British Columbia. The four institutions are the pillars of what has grown to be a research network that engages key stakeholders, advances climate solutions, and informs policy leadership. PICS is nonpartisan, policy-neutral and technology-neutral.
