Could BC's pulp and paper mills produce hydrogen?
A new study into the potential economic - and climate - benefits of BC pulp and paper mills incorporating hydrogen production (via electrolysis) into their operations will be available in early 2021. Hydrogen is fast gaining traction among industry and policymakers as a zero-emissions transport fuel and energy source.
The PICS-supported pre-feasibility study was carried out by Zen Clean Energy Solutions on behalf of the BC Bioenergy Network, ahead of the pending national hydrogen strategy for Canada.
Coming soon, the results of the study, plus a presentation.
